Dilemma: Community Work VS. Professional Community Work

I have been extremely committed to community work and advocating for human rights issues however, I am now faced with making a decision between that and my professional community work. I have been working on the e-board of a Human Rights Coalition for the last year but was recently asked to join the Executive Board of a national women's engineering society. The Human Rights coalition just lost their ED and some Board members and their is a level of uncertainty. I need some opinions on this.
